Assigning actions

If you leave the Press slot empty, pressing the knob runs the rotate slot action’s own press behavior: System Volume mutes, VoiceMeeter Adjust Gain sets the value to 0 dB. When you assign an action to the Press slot, that action replaces this behavior. The empty slot shows which behavior is inherited.

Discord Tools has two actions with similar names: User Volume is a key action and is assigned to the Press slot. To adjust a user’s volume by rotating the knob, assign the User Volume Knob action to the Rotate slot.

Actions that show their result on the key screen (World Clock, Calendar, Battery Status, System Monitor, Weather, Note, Timer, Stopwatch, Countdown and Page Indicator) cannot be assigned to knobs. Knobs have no screen, so their results would be invisible; assign them to keys with an LCD.

On macOS, evoX must be granted Accessibility permission for keyboard shortcut, text typing and mouse actions to work; without it, when you press a key evoX shows a notification that opens the permission pane. The permission step is described on the Installation page.

On Linux the Type Text action assumes the US-QWERTY keyboard layout; if you use a different layout, some punctuation may come out differently than you expect.

On macOS, mouse actions are subject to Accessibility permission just like keyboard actions; they do not work while the permission is not granted.

Some old Market actions may appear only for compatibility information. Rows with a “native runtime/provider required” description cannot be assigned and are also rejected by the profile save.

For a combination with the Windows key in the Keyboard shortcut action, first turn on the Win option, then press only the other key in the recording field. Caps Lock, Print Screen and Calculator keys can also be assigned directly.

The Coordinates mode of the Mouse Event action takes up to five coordinates and clicks all of them in order when the key is pressed. Collect coordinates with Capture coordinate: while the badge next to the cursor shows the current value, press F8 over the target; Esc closes it. Each row has its own mouse button choice, and the cursor returns to its previous position when the sequence ends. This mode and coordinate capture work only on Windows; on macOS and Linux the action returns an error when you press the key. User input in the Steam server address and Steam App ID, and in Spotify, Kick, Discord and Twitch actions, is not applied while you type. After completing the value, press the Save button.

In the Spotify Volume Control, Volume Up and Volume Down actions, rapid inputs are accumulated and the final volume level is applied in order.

You can paste the https://open.spotify.com/... share link you copied from Spotify directly into the Spotify Play URI and Play Playlist fields. Existing spotify:track:..., spotify:playlist:... and spotify:album:... URI values are also supported.

In the Spotify Add to Playlist and Remove from Playlist fields you can enter a playlist share link, a spotify:playlist:... URI value or just the 22-character Playlist ID.

You don’t need to enter a Device ID in the Spotify Change Device action. Open Spotify on the target device, list Spotify Connect devices with Refresh, select the device and press the Save button. Spotify Premium is required to transfer playback between devices.

When setting up the OBS connection, turn on the Enable WebSocket server option in the OBS WebSocket settings and then press Apply. In the Scene action, do not run the key before entering the full scene name from OBS and pressing the Save button.

In the OBS Input Volume action, enter a value between -100 and 26 dB. Enable Replay Buffer in OBS Settings → Output. Replay Buffer On/Off starts or stops the buffer; Instant Replay saves only the footage accumulated in the running buffer.

Pi actions connect to a running Pi coding-agent session. On first use, install the integration with the Install button in the action settings, then run /reload in open Pi sessions; OFFLINE on the key usually means this step was skipped. If more than one Pi is open, the Pi Session key shows which one is selected and all other Pi actions go to that session. Knobs have no screen, so Pi Thinking Level and Pi Model do not show their value on a key when assigned to a knob.

OBS Screenshot automatically saves the selected source or scene to the Pictures/evoX/OBS folder. CPU Usage and Dropped Frames values are shown live on the physical deck key; the device preview in the evoX app keeps the action icon.

For the OBS OBS Hotkey action, OBS must be open and the WebSocket connection ready. Select a hotkey registered in OBS from the list and press the Save button; from then on the physical key runs the selected hotkey.

In the User Volume action in Discord Tools, Set volume applies an integer between 0–200. Mute / Unmute mutes the user on the first press and unmutes them on the next.

The Discord Toggle Mute and Toggle Deafen keys show the live state on the physical deck: on is white, off is red. Changes made in the Discord app are also reflected on the deck. Toggle Deafen turns the headphones and microphone off and on together, the same way Discord does.

In the Set DPI action in Wraith W1 Control, enter a DPI value between 50–30000 that is a multiple of 50. The value is applied only when you press the Save button.

In the Select DPI Slot action in Wraith W1 Control, enter a slot between 1–4. The selection is applied only when you press the Save button.

In the Polling Rate action in Wraith W1 Control, enter one of the 125, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 or 8000 Hz values and press the Save button. 2000–8000 Hz requires the Wraith 8K dongle.

In the Performance Mode action in Wraith W1 Control, applying the selected mode to the sensor takes about 1.5 seconds. Wait for the operation to finish without pressing another W1 action in the meantime.
